One Small Action, One Life Changed: Our Visit to Free Wheelchair Mission
There are moments that remind you exactly why this work matters. Our recent visit to Free Wheelchair Mission was one of those moments.

Walking through their facility and watching the wheelchair testing machine in action was a powerful experience. Behind every frame, every wheel, and every adjustment is a team of people deeply committed to one mission: giving individuals with mobility challenges the freedom and dignity they deserve. Witnessing that commitment firsthand left a lasting impression on everyone from the LB Charitable Foundation who was present.
Free Wheelchair Mission has dedicated itself to reaching people in some of the world’s most underserved communities, individuals who might otherwise spend their lives without the basic ability to move freely. The care and purpose behind their work goes far beyond logistics. It is about restoring hope. It is about seeing a person, not just a need.
LB Charitable Foundation is grateful to stand behind organizations like Free Wheelchair Mission whose work creates real, lasting impact. As a funder, our role is to ensure that the right resources reach the right hands, so that meaningful work like this can continue and grow.
Because one small action truly can make a difference.
A single wheelchair changes how someone moves through the world. It changes whether a child can attend school, whether a parent can care for their family, whether an elderly person can live with independence and dignity. The ripple effect of that one act of giving stretches further than we can often see.
We are thankful for partners who carry out this mission with excellence and compassion. And we remain committed to supporting efforts that uplift lives, one grant, one partnership, and one person at a time.
“Let your light shine before others.” ~ Matthew 5:16
